Terms of Service

Last updated: 29 July 2026

These terms cover the Goppa service and the Goppa Agentic Commerce plugin. By using either, you agree to them.

1. What the service does

Goppa makes an online store readable and searchable by AI shopping agents, and measures how often AI assistants recommend that store. The plugin publishes, on your own domain, a UCP discovery manifest, an llms.txt description, an MCP server for catalogue search and lookup, and your catalogue as schema.org data.

What it does not do. Goppa does not process carts, checkout or payments, and does not sell on your behalf. Agents can find and understand your products; the purchase happens on your own store, under your own terms. Anything beyond that is roadmap, not a current feature.

2. The plugin

The plugin is free and licensed under the GPLv2 or later. You may use, modify and redistribute it under those terms. It runs on your server, under your control; you are responsible for your WordPress installation and for the accuracy of the product data it publishes.

Reporting agent activity to Goppa is optional and off until you configure a store token. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what is sent.

3. Accounts and plans

You need an account to save reports, connect stores and see agent activity. Keep your credentials and your store token confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account. Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe and renew until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the paid period. We do not refund partial periods unless the law requires it.

4. Acceptable use

Rate limits apply to protect the service. We may suspend an account that breaks these rules.

5. What we can and cannot promise

We can promise that the plugin publishes the protocols correctly and that measurements report honestly what we observed.

We cannot promise that any AI assistant will recommend your store, that recommendations will increase, or that any specific revenue will follow. AI models, their retrieval behaviour and the protocols themselves change outside our control, and results vary by product, market and competition. A visibility measurement is a sample of model responses at a point in time, not a guarantee or a forecast.

6. Availability

The service is provided "as is", without warranty. We aim for it to be available and correct, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. If Goppa is unreachable, the plugin keeps serving your endpoints normally and holds pending reports until it can send them โ€” your store does not depend on our uptime.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost sales. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death, personal injury or fraud.

8. Ending it

You may stop using the service at any time: clear the token, deactivate the plugin, or delete your account. Deleting your account removes your stores, reports, measurements and agent activity. We may end an account for serious or repeated breach of section 4, with notice where reasonable.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced with the updated date above before they take effect for existing accounts.
